Industries / Truck and heavy-duty parts

Heavy-duty truck parts POS with cores and fleet accounts.

AxleTap started at a heavy-duty parts counter. Core charges and tire and battery fees land on the ticket on their own, and fleets buy on account with their limits checked at the sale.

What a heavy-duty counter needs.

Core charges and returns

Core charges come from the item. A core returned on the same ticket lowers the taxable amount, and a later return credits the charge and its tax.

Tire and battery fees

State fees per tire and per battery are added from the item on their own lines, and left off sales for resale.

Fleet units by VIN

Keep each fleet's trucks on file by VIN and see spend by unit.

Cross-references and supersessions

Part, UPC, manufacturer and cross-reference numbers on the item all find it, and a superseded number leads to its replacement.

Fleet charge accounts

Credit limits and holds checked at the sale, PO numbers when a fleet requires them, and statements by email.

Deliveries to shops

Routes for your drivers, route sheets with map links, and proof of delivery with a signature and photo.

Cores, tracked from charge to credit.

Core charges ride along with the part. When the core comes back, the credit and the tax take care of themselves.

The core charge is added from the item when the part is sold.

A core brought back on the same ticket lowers the taxable amount.

A core returned later credits the charge and the tax collected on it.

The outstanding core deposits report shows what's still out.

Stock across every store

On hand, bin and min/max for every item at every location.

Transfers between locations, tracked while they're in transit.

Suggested orders become draft purchase orders in one step.

Receiving on a handheld, and vendor price files to keep costs current.

Sales tax at the counter

State and county sales tax for any US state, figured on every taxable line.

County tax follows the delivery address, found from the ZIP code.

Per-item tax caps apply where the rules set one.

Exemption and resale certificates on file with their expiration dates.

Questions from heavy-duty parts counters

Can a parts POS track core charges and core returns?

Yes. In AxleTap, core charges are added from the item, a core brought back on the same ticket lowers the taxable amount, and a later core return credits the charge and the tax collected on it. The outstanding core deposits report shows what's still out.

Can I track fleet trucks by VIN?

Yes. Each fleet account can keep its units on file by VIN, and AxleTap reports spend by unit.

Does AxleTap add tire and battery fees automatically?

Yes. Items carry their fee, so the per-tire or per-battery fee is added to the ticket on its own line and left off sales for resale.

Does AxleTap integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes. AxleTap keeps its own general ledger, and it can also send your sales, payments and bills to QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
